WSI started as a franchisor in 1995. We continue to sell our proven systems for a franchise fee and are thrilled with our growth and expansion. A few years ago we realized that our fastest growing franchises had something in common: digital agency experience. They already understood the basics of SEO, PPC and social media, and they ramped up operations and sales much faster than others in the network who had a larger learning curve.
We tabled a serious discussion with our Board of Directors and decided to create a new business opportunity to partner with more qualified agencies.
There are fundamental differences between our franchisees and agency partners, not the least of which is the up-front fee. Most of our franchisees are experienced business professionals, many of whom were formerly executives. Some have PR or communications experience, often with a sales background. But very seldom are they familiar with digital marketing, which is why we train them from scratch.
On the other hand, members of the WSI Agency Accelerator Program are existing marketing businesses with clients of their own. They are functioning agencies who need help finding new leads or scaling production. We respect the knowledge of these agencies and want to let them continue to run their business their way, mixing in WSI’s help wherever they see fit.
One of the most common questions potential agency partners ask is - what happens to their brand when they partner with WSI? The answer is easy: it’s totally up to you. You can continue to operate your agency with no reference to WSI.
The other option is to use our tagline or beautiful seal indicating you’re “A WSI Certified Agency.” You could even do a mix of both, depending on the situation!
