So some of you may be asking, what exactly makes a WSI franchise worth it? Sure, there are the general franchising benefits, but what is it about WSI itself that makes it such an attractive franchising option?
For starters, it’s a chance to work with a world leader in the field of online business solutions.
A WSI franchise is geared toward providing business solutions to other small and medium-sized business owners, particularly those looking to establish an online presence. As the web has evolved and businesses have adapted to its ever-expanding capabilities, WSI has consistently been at the leading edge of development, upgrading security features and providing first class digital marketing solutions.
After all, one of the biggest advantages of a franchise is the support provided by the home office. WSI provides expert training to its franchisees, not just at the beginning stages but through the life of the franchise. We keep our owners up-to-date on our latest developments and provide accessible training options so they can stay abreast of the newest developments online and off, ever refining and solidifying our successful approach to providing successful online business solutions.

When discussing the advantage of a WSI franchise, we talk a lot about the ability to set your own schedule, adjust your hours, take vacations and so forth. These are all true ( and a whole lot of fun). That being said, developing a consistent schedule for yourself is a very important task and should be given some thought.
TIP: Beware of Procrastination!
Owning a small business often confronts operators with a phenomenon similar to what home schooled or distance learning/self-guided students encounter. All the work looks fairly simple and accessible, so it can be dealt with at leisure, approached later. Important topics get pushed off “until tomorrow,” or “just this once,” because of important things going on now. Priorities shift, then suddenly they’re scrambling to catch up.
Setting up a schedule for yourself from the outset is the first step in avoiding this. Write down what you’re going to deal with each day, or if day-by-day doesn’t work, write up a daily schedule breaking down your hours used into scheduled blocks of time.

Owning your own business is an exciting thing, and a WSI franchise lets you experience the excitement with a number of creative business solutions for your style of living.
Do you prefer to work a few days a week with long hours, so you can have nice, long days off? Or do you prefer to work a little bit early every morning and then have the rest of the day to yourself? Either way, you can schedule your days to take advantage of your best working hours, or to accommodate a family lifestyle.
Do you prefer to work with a lot of clients at once, or are you more of a single-client, hands-on kind of worker? Once again, you can choose your workload to suit your desired level of income and time investment.

One maddening aspect of traditional business that we hear about from our non-franchise friends involves things their company does that make no sense at all.

Department shake-ups that come randomly, management saying the client asked for x number of changes that have nothing whatsoever to do with the original product, bonuses being cut for some reason and so on. Honestly, the number of things that seem to happen to people for no adequately explained reason is enough to make our heads spin, and we don’t even work for them. It’s not just that the changes happen — the fact that there isn’t any sense of connection to why they’re happening has to be disheartening.
This is another reason why franchising is such a wonderful job — you don’t have to put up with that kind of thing with a WSI franchise. You’re in direct contact with your clients, so you can talk to them about what they want and why they want it, getting the big picture instead of piecemeal little alterations. You have control of the finances, so there are no surprises at the end of the year. You can make plans for your money in the long term without worrying that betting on your bonus might not pay off.

We like to offer our WSI franchisees an easy experience when it comes to business solutions. And one of the most difficult problems with a new small business is getting started. There is a reason people call it “breaking in” to a market — it involves a whole lot of effort, and can be a frustrating, frightening possibility at times. Some people make it, but many don’t. So before a new businessman can get to the important business solutions such as finding a good supply chain, training strong employees and developing their client base, they have to test the market, develop a product and so forth.
Why do all that legwork when we’ve done it for you?
At WSI, you’ll have the joys of running your own business without the initial headaches. You’ll take our market-tested and profit-proven formula and carry it out in your own time and fashion. We have all the resources you’ll need. If you’re good with people but aren’t sure about marketing specifically, we have training for that. If you’re great with keeping clients but aren’t sure where to find the new ones so you CAN keep them, we have training for that, too. We give you all the lessons and tools you need so that you, without a doubt, can run a WSI franchise without being distracted by setup times and market uncertainty.

We’ve made it clear that having a WSI franchise can be tremendously rewarding — you can make money, have fun and develop the kind of lifestyle you want to lead. It almost seems like there’s no downside at all; clearly, there has to be a catch, right? After all, we’ve heard too-good-to-be-true news before.
What evidence is there that someone like you should still consider WSI a sound investment for the future?
Well, WSI franchises specialize in providing business solutions through digital marketing. In 2009, people spent $54 billion dollars on advertising — that’s billion with a “b.” Further, it’s expected to grow to more than $70 billion by 2012.
To make a comparison, the United States military spent only $7.4 billion on missile defenses in 2002.
To put it another way, the amount that people increase their spending on online advertising is more than the largest military in the world spends in total on a major military project.
So clearly, if people wanting to raise the awareness of their online presence can grow faster than the military’s budget, there’s some room for new players to the field of digital marketing and business solutions.
