Starting a WSI franchise offers more opportunities than simply being your own boss.

It’s a chance to be a part of a field that’s grown steadily for the last ten years — and is projected to continue growing at a ferocious rate.
According to a study done by Zenith Optimedia, roughly $54 billion is spent on online marketing efforts each year. Direct email, surveys, pop-up advertisements, pay-per-click, search engine optimization — all of these things encompass a budget comparable to major military procurement decisions.
Further, the same study predicts that by next year, spending on this field will reach $77 billion. That’s a 43 percent increase in just three years!
The reasons for the boost are pretty simple to understand. There has been no tool in the world as uniquely suited to get into peoples’ homes and lives as the Web. Traditional commercials on television, radio and even billboards are pretty static affairs — perhaps they’ll hit, perhaps they won’t. But online advertising is flexible, allowing marketers to reach people through social media, direct contact, newsletters and more.

A WSI franchise owner is an expert in what they do.

Online advertising is a tricky field, and can have some negative connotations, as we’ve previously discussed. People hear “online advertising” and they think of pop-ups, crazy banners that say they’ve “won,” computer viruses, spam emails and all manner of other things. And consumers aren’t the only ones worrying about this kind of approach: the people who own businesses and want to advertise online have these concerns as well. They don’t want to end up on their target audience’s “spam” lists or lose potential customers through annoying advertising.
This is exactly where you, the digital marketing guru, come in.
You know there’s a lot more to the world than the obvious, and why should the web be any different? That’s the good news — it isn’t. There are many ways to use online advertising without resorting to any sort of uninvited tomfoolery that will only cause customers to cross their arms, huff and storm off.

Digital marketing is not just popular, it’s becoming the new norm.
We live in an age where anyone can become a businessperson with a bit of time, some space and an Internet connection. Ebay and Amazon have allowed the home business model to flourish, and the small-box store is coming back with a vengeance even as larger stores like Circuit City and Borders are declaring bankruptcy.
This is why, when talking about increasing profitability, social network marketing is so vital.

With Facebook, I could be talking to someone in China, Australia and Finland with very little effort. The marketplace is now the entire world, not just the immediate area I can drive or make phone calls to at a reasonable hour. Small businesses are becoming global enterprises with very little effort, and social media is an inexpensive way to do it.

Owning a WSI franchise is an exciting opportunity

… not just because of the chance to turn a profit and work the way you want to work, but also because of the chance to do something new and interesting. And, of course, digital marketing is an entertaining and varied field, with room for many ways of doing things. The WSI system is important to follow, but it simply provides a process toward using your own great ideas when providing a client with what they want and need.

One of the most unique things about having a WSI franchise is that while you are part of a larger organization, your franchise is its own entity.

You use the WSI Digital Marketing System, but you will have your own stylistic approach to things, your own way of connecting with your customers. To make the most of this effect, you should consider blogging as a means of developing that personal identity and boosting your credibility.
A blog is an interesting way of promoting yourself and maintaining your own vision, even within a franchising framework. A blog allows you to share your personal thoughts, keep your readers up to date with what you’ve been working on, adds another venue for promotions and information about your business to clients, and so forth.

Digital marketing with a WSI franchise is a proven path to an exciting and satisfying career.

Consider it: The division of labor makes modern society possible. We’d never have all the wonderful diversity of options available to us if we all had to focus on, say, subsistence farming. When one group of people can specialize in one thing, other groups can specialize in others and the choices for everyone begin to multiply.

A WSI franchise is all about having the flexibility to respond to what your customer needs and desires.
Sometimes they may think they want one thing out of digital marketing, but you can convince them of a more effective strategy or a more important goal. Other times they may clue you in to trying something more ambitious than you had planned. Either way, there are many, many ways to do the digital marketing “thing,” and you will find each of them rewarding in its own unique fashion.
Social Media
Twitter microblogs, Facebook friending circles, StumbleUpon notices, ReddIt campaigns — each of these offers a unique way to reach out and touch someone. Google+ has now joined the scene as well, so you can expect a new range of options that you can help your clients implement there.

Operating a WSI franchise is an exciting thing to do.
There’s virtually no way to get into a rut while working as a Digital Marketing Consultant because of the unique combination of skills and tasks that are required to make a franchise run just right. It’s an exciting and interesting experience, and here’s why:
Customer Service
As a digital marketing expert, you will be using proven WSI tools & technologies to provide high quality advice and interacting directly with the clients you’ll be serving. There’s no separate marketing department talking to the customers for you — you get to interact with the clients on your own, talking about their needs and helping them meet the online goals they have as you get to know them.
Work Online
The online world is a unique opportunity to get involved in. Social media networks, video blogging, traditional blogging, advertising campaigns and more await those who dive into the Web. You’ll have the chance to learn all about these things, and provide your expertise to your customer base as well.
